New to this site?
If you have been used to the old site, you may have questions…
- Where can I find the talks?
- How does the site work?
- How do I use the podcasts?
Maybe you have other questions … they should be answered soon.
First things first - we aim to put the talks up from most Sunday services within a few days of the talk. Since the front page shows items in dated order, the most recent week’s talk should be there if it is recorded. (We don’t normally record all-age worship at the moment)
To listen to a talk, you need to go to its page. Click on the title, and it will take you there.
You can listen in three ways:
- Click on the player to listen to a streamed version
- Click on the download link to save the mp3 file to your local machine (you can then copy it to an MP3 player or to a suitable phone
- Use a podcast player to automatically download the talk as it is updated
Some of the talks don’t seem to be there. We have uploaded more than 25 talks over the last year, however with the new site design, we are trying to make the talks more useful - which is why there is a separate page for each talk. To prepare each page takes a little time, so at the moment, some pages have not been written yet - check back from time to time, and you should see the talks added.
I know about podcasting/news readers - how do I get the feed? The feed is at http://www.Pathwaychilwell.org.uk/index.php/feed/. Your RSS reader or podcast software should handle the downloads.
Sorry - What’s an RSS feed? RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” - not that important - however it means that all the talks are made available to RSS aggregators or news readers. Follow this link for more information.
How do I get the podcast? What do I need? Podcast gets its name from broadcast and iPod. The origianl idea was that you could download these web “broadcasts” to your iPod.
