Law - and unity
Continuing our journey together through Paul’s letter to the church in Rome, we look at what we have to learn about the law and about unity.
We probably would not have liked living during the time of the Roman empire - but it was a time of great change, and the early church was finding its feet.
Paul, was writing to a church that had both Jew and Gentile people in it - those “under the Law (of Moses)” and those not under the law, and Paul spoke to each group separately … but his underlying message is that the outward signs of the law are not the issue - as Christians, it is our relationship with the law that is written within us. This is the basis of our unity.
