Matthew 1:12-19 lists part of Jesus’ family tree – and tells us something about who he was and his family history, although it tells us very little about Joseph or Mary – key players in the Nativity story.

Over the last few months we have been looking at our vision, looking back at where we come from and forward to God’s calling and vision:

  • Who are we?
  • What is our DNA – who are we?
  • What is God calling us to be?
  • What do others expect us to be?
  • What say do we have in the future?

What we want for the future is primarily to know who He wants us to be and how He plans to transform from what we are into His vision for us?
But there are some givens:

  • We are loved – we are valued – we are resourced by all the riches of our Father.
  • We are seeking God among brothers and sisters that love us and want the best for us.
  • We are Christians so we know that by definition the best is yet to come?

2009 will be an important year. We enter it as brothers and sisters we enter it shoulder to shoulder with partners in mission.
