Living at the Crossroads

A Lamp on a Stand

As Christians, we are called to be salt and light to the world. Our challenge though is to make sure the light can be seen by others.
In Mark 4:21-24, we are reminded that you don’t light a candle then put a basket over it.

For the light of Jesus is to be seen, we need to be where people are – building up relationships and trust of those around us. We do not live in a society where there is a general awareness of God and the teaching of the Bible, and we cannot expect most people to simply turn up to church events.

We need to be lights on a stand.
