Sacrifice and Hope
July 13th, 2008Would we have the courage to stand between an aggressor and their victim? To be prepared to die for them?
We are on a journey together.
Do we know the destination?
Are we following the same pathway?
Would we have the courage to stand between an aggressor and their victim? To be prepared to die for them?
No matter what your history, no matter your background we are equal in God’s sight: equally guilty - but equally forgiven under God’s grace.
Continuing our journey together through Paul’s letter to the church in Rome, we look at what we have to learn about the law and about unity.
We can have a relationship with Jesus and it this makes our faith alive. But sometimes we are nearer to Jesus than other times - it does vary, not static.
Paul had a great deal to say about what is true and what is false, and how to tell them apart.
Do you know where we are heading? Is the sat-nav system loaded with the destination? Is it the destination or the journey?
In any case - what does God have to say?
